Side note - this book involves a T O N of writing. So so much writing. Information technology took me at least a week to get through each chapter simply considering of the amount of writing that is involved (and it specifically says mitt-write, not type or record). ...more
I got more than than I expected, which is an awareness of how I make decisions.
The value is in the writing and reflection that you lot put into Davidman'due south questions. I got what I wanted, which was to brand a decision, and feel confident about it.

This book was really wonderful. It helped me a lot because I enjoy writing and there are a lot of insightful prompts, but there are a variety of exercises that would exist helpful for people who dont enjoy writing- guided visualizations, collage making, drawing, etc.I (31F) started this book thinking one day I'd probably adopt or foster children but that I probably didn't want to nascency my ain children, and I actually did become a few revelations while doing the things in the volume. I know for sure at present that I take no desire to nascence children, and that because of a babyhood where I always had to be the parent, I really desire a few years after I pay off my student loans to simply exercise things I've always wanted to do before I have to step [back] into that parent role.
It feels great to have this clarity: to know what I desire and also see my desires in my plans for the hereafter, rather than having a sort-of plan where I think I know what I want.
The only thing that could take improved this book would exist an app to go alongside information technology; information technology would be absurd to have the recordings available that fashion and likewise to have prompts for the self-care portions of the book, or daily prompts for the weeks that you're supposed to reflect on something every day.
Highly recommend for anyone feeling ambivalent about this decision! It'south a lot of piece of work simply very rewarding in my feel.

oh and i finished this book in way less than 12 weeks. just in half dozen-7 weeks, i recollect? i really accept reached clarity around week 5-6. simply i managed to button through the whole programme while pretending that i still "don't know". that's what the book tells me to do anyhow.

This was a fascinating 12-week plan designed for women trying to decide if they want to become mothers or non, and as someone who is in that position I was hoping that it might help me get some clarity. Each week follows a similar pattern -- some sort of guided reflection, some framing information, prompts and reflections for you, and and so some stories from other women who accept been through the program. I institute the guided reflections to be not at useful -- I've done them in similar programs and institute that format doesn't work for me (besides, it's a Book, so you either need to record them for yourself or find someone to read them for you). I found the prompts and the stories from others to be much more than useful.
The other challenge for me was this was a library book and I had to return information technology after 4 weeks. I found one or two weeks less useful, and by going through more than i week at a fourth dimension I was able to go through all of the content. I was able to jot downwards some of the other prompts to answer at another fourth dimension when I am ready for more reflection.
All in all I think this helped me move closer to a decision by helping me understand what I actually want. So the volume helped me get there fifty-fifty though it did feel a bit long-winded at times.
